The first time I had really talked to Dena was back when the Doller's Digest was on its old Freewebs site. She and Steff had proposed the idea to team up and remake the whole site anew on its current server. It was not until after we had discovered that both of our birthdays were not even 24 hours apart that we really got talking! We are literally almost twins! (Geminis rock!) Dena is an awesome person. She is smart, creative and has an wicked sense of humor and ingeniousness. She is also a great friend and is usually on the receiving end of my real life rants and woes. Her advice has helped me so much in the real world and well as in the dolling world that I am so grateful to have her as my first sister, June 11th, 2008!
One thing that really bonded our friendship was our love for the Lord of the Rings series. Alora is one of the sweetest dollers that I know but it has been a while since I have seen her in the dolling community. We were sisters on July 22nd, 2009.
I totally was not expecting a sisterly invitation when Dulcet said that she wanted to make a doll portrait of me. It was a wonderful surprise when she did. It is funny that we have have so many similar interests. She is one of the few female friends I have that I can talk about Sci-Fi to and not get totally weirded out! She asked to be my sister on March 1st, 2011.
